Ivan Cordoba is an NYC-based film editor and director specializing in creating first-class video content for the advertising, digital and media industries. Some of his works have been screened at international festivals such as the Venice Biennale, OFFF, and Cannes. He’s worked for high-profile brands including Maserati, De Beers, Unicef, Ports 1961, Mugler and Gillette, and collaborated with artists such as world-class photographer Christopher Makos, close friend and collaborator of Andy Warhol.

As a highly skilled and versatile video editor focused on creative storytelling, he masters the craft of assembling high-end visual artifacts. After years of learning from diverse creative partnerships and exciting challenges, Ivan knows how to dive into the footage to identify the essentials and put them together uniquely. While some of his works are a reminder that the purest form of editing is creating narrative and meaning from unscripted material, other pieces stand out for their cinematic techniques and emotional appeals assembled in a kind of alchemy.

Ivan has contributed to building significant projects in multiple work environments, from boutique production companies to global ad agencies such as Reflexgroup, Vaynermedia, Elephant, R/GA and Grow. Ivan’s editor portfolio includes projects for The Met, Christie’s, Mercedes-Benz, National Geographic, Samsung, Verizon and Don Julio, among others.
